Burg Falkenstein

Imaginatively conceived barbican, added in ca. 1900 to Oberfalkenstein Castle, which stands 200 meters further up (today a ruin).

18th cent. – The former barbican of Oberfalkenstein Castle is built into a stately home.

1906 – Expansion of the castle in historicized form.

1968 - Fire. Afterwards, rebuilt.
